Del-York creative academy is back again with a 4-week hands on intensive training program for the entire creative industry in Africa. As always, the best tutors from Europe, America and Asia will touch down in Nigeria to train and certify 500 hundred students at the Del-York training facility here in Nigeria.
This is the fourth edition, since the first one launched in 2010, and we have successfully trained over 1000 students since.
This edition however promises to be the biggest of the lot as new curriculums and experts in the Film industry have been added.
500 of the most talented people out of Nigeria and other countries in Africa will be selected from a vast pool of entries to partake in this epoch-making capacity building experience.
The 2018 DCA program is specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals working in the creative industry and aspiring professionals, and to provide training and information across all fields of practice within the creative industry.
The project will feature an array of courses like acting, directing, set design, production, film making, final cut pro, 3D animation, screen writing, cinematography, digital photography, music production, music video production, costume & makeup, graphics & special effects as well as broadcast journalism.
DCA seeks to use the 2018 platform to address certain key social issues that have plagued the continent.
These 500 disruptors will proceed to tackle the 17 global SDG set forth by the UN, guaranteeing that appropriate awareness, understanding and requisite action is taken by a larger population in Africa through the premise of Film.
This session will include a remote learning experience where digital classes can be accessed online for those who don’t make it into actual academy.
For all those who believe not only in themselves but in the creative future and promise of the African continent. Let us change the narrative together.
